Dear Friend of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation,
Recently attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom and the Bioethics Defense Fund filed a friend-of-the-court brief with a federal appeals court on behalf of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation and three other pro-life organizations that support an Indiana law banning abortions based on a child’s genetic profile, race, or sex.
Unfortunately, a federal district court stopped the law from going into effect after Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky filed suit.
Perhaps ADF Senior Counsel Denise Burke said it best:
Friend, Planned Parenthood has made it abundantly clear that they support unrestricted access to killing a baby based on his or her genetic profile — in other words, eliminating a life because a child has disability or isn’t of a desired race or sex!
The Jerome Lejeune Foundation, along with ADF and others, is fighting this battle on many fronts. It’s a fight that requires advocates like you working alongside us to raise awareness and provide financial support that sustains our care and advocacy. We cannot do it alone. We need your help.
Will you consider a special financial gift during the Christmas season? Every gift helps fight disability discrimination and provide better care for children and adults with Down syndrome. The Jerome Lejeune foundation is 100% dedicated to the health and well-being of all life, particularly those with Down syndrome and other genetic disabilities.
Your gift today will go directly to supporting our efforts to bring care to adults and children with Down syndrome. Our most immediate need is the hospital we will launch in 2020. A hospital that will be dedicated to serving those with Down syndrome. No individual or family will be turned away for financial reasons. Your gift will help support this initiative.
Thank you for your generosity.
P.S. Would you like to give monthly? Recurring gifts help us meet the ongoing needs more efficiently. A monthly gift of $50 would go a long way.
