Dear Friend of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation,
In the U.S. and around the world, some children with Down syndrome are abandoned or put up for adoption by parents who are unable or unwilling to care for them.
Every child deserves a loving home. I applaud the adoptive families who open their hearts and homes to babies and children with Down syndrome. We at the Jerome Lejeune Foundation want to do all we can to support them as they give children the opportunity to grow up in a loving family!
Whenever we share their stories, the response is tremendous. We recently shared the story of the Moody family, and received these three responses on Twitter affirming that adopting a child with Down syndrome is the “best decision ever!”
We are so happy for all the parents who have welcomed children with Down syndrome into their families –whether through adoption or birth. It is essential that our society loves and welcomes these children, and we want to do all we can to support birth families and adoptive families, and affirm their choice to raise their children.
Please consider giving today to help us continue advocating for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
$10 | $25 | $100 | $250 |
Sincerely,
P.S. We are getting closer to opening our hospital in the United States — help us serve children and adults — with Down syndrome and their families in this way! Donate today.
Please note that each donation is tax deductible. The Jerome Lejeune Foundation USA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
