I am a man with Down syndrome and my life is worth living… I donât feel I should have to justify my existence.
Frank Stephens
In a powerful speech before Congress last week, actor and Special Olympian Frank Stephens testified on the topic of living with Down syndrome, and encouraged the members of Congress to continue to support research on Down syndrome.
He noted that a large percentage of people do not find the beauty in living with Down syndrome, because they are basing their information of off outdated data.
People pushing their particular âfinal solutionâ are saying that people like me should not exist. That view is deeply prejudiced by an outdated idea of life with Down syndrome.

People such as Frank give the Jerome Lejeune Foundation encouragement to continue to research, advocate, and care for those with Down syndrome.
