December 30, 2017
Dear Friend of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation,
I know you are busy closing out 2017 so I will cut to the chase: while we have been able to achieve a lot since this past May, even prepping up for the launch of the Jerome Lejeune Hospital, we are currently thousands of dollars short of what we need to raise to make our budget. That’s why I am turning to our best supporters, including you, during these final two days of the year, to appeal for an urgently-needed financial contribution.
There is a lot ahead for the Jerome Lejeune Foundation in 2018… and I can’t stand the thought of beginning the new year by slowing down on critical programs just as we’re coming off of so many impressive accomplishments.
It is not too late for you to make a difference. We need your generous financial support to achieve the 2018 goals listed below:
In addition to setting the groundwork for launching the Jerome Lejeune Hospital, we will be driving many other life-changing initiatives in 2018.
- We will continue to advocate actively and loudly on behalf of the unborn children with Down syndrome, which we begun in the state of Indiana. We face radical forces that want to eliminate people with Down syndrome. It is pure genocide that must be stopped!
- We will continue to keep public institutions accountable, including the United Nations, when their decisions impact those with Down syndrome. Our petition to the UN already reached over 34,000 signatures.
- We will continue our efforts to educate and raise awareness which included launching the “Being Different, It’s Normal” video, which has almost 90,000 views on YouTube. We believe that telling a story is one of the most powerful ways to reach people.
Please consider making your most generous year-end gift. Your gift is tax deductible and will help us advocate and care for people with Down syndrome in 2018.
Thank you for your generosity. And Happy New Year!
Thank you for any assistance you can provide in closing this year-end budget gap. We’ve only got two days left, and I am counting on all our top supporters like you will help.
Note: With the new tax law taking effect in 2018 many people are making larger donations so they maximize their tax deductibility in 2017.
